April 8, 2026

Our committee has received several inquiries regarding postcards from the Golden Bulldog Committee (GBC) announcing their September 12, 2026 program and buffet dinner.

We did not share any classmate contact information. We take privacy seriously and operate on an opt-in basis. We are looking into how the GBC obtained mailing addresses — it appears they may have used a commercial people-search or address lookup service, which is a common (if unwelcome) practice. We do not believe any personal data was improperly taken, but we are making inquiries to better understand the situation.

At this time, our committee members do not intend to participate in their program.

We diligently worked with the GBC beginning February 20, 2025. However, their event dates changed multiple times without consultation, and we were unable to continue coordinating around those changes once our venues, caterer, golf outing, and other arrangements had established firm commitments.

Based on the original date presented at our first February meeting — August 21 & 22 — we built our committee and planned the events for our 50th class reunion. Six months later, the GBC changed that date. And then changed it again a few months after that.

We absolutely understand the concern raised by many of you: two separate celebrations are simply not practical for those traveling from out of town. Please also keep in mind that GBC celebrations and buffet dinners occur annually on varying dates.

Our reunion plans have not changed.
The Class of '76 Golden Celebration remains August 21–23, 2026.

The Class of '76 Committee will keep you informed about future GBC programs via email and social media. Please direct any questions or concerns to George Maling, Denise Corner, or any other committee member. Watch for updates on our website, Facebook, and in your email.

We apologize for any confusion the GBC postcard may have caused. We look forward to a spectacular 50th reunion in August!
